Information We Collect
- Account information — your email, name, and (if you sign in with Google) profile picture.
- Saved articles — URLs, titles, and the sanitized text of articles you save to your library.
- Reading progress — which articles you’ve opened, your scroll position, and timestamps used to resume reading.
- Usage analytics — basic, aggregated events (e.g. “article saved”, “audio generated”) to improve the product.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the Service, sync your library across devices, enforce plan limits (e.g. the 15-article Free cap), process payments via Paddle, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal data and we do not run advertising.
How Your Data Is Stored
Your account and library data are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), protected by Row-Level Security so only you can read or modify your own rows. Backups are encrypted at rest.
Security Practices
All connections to Kove use TLS. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth. Access to production systems is restricted and audited. We will notify affected users of any data breach as required by law.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies and local storage entries required to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Paddle — payment processing and subscription management as our Merchant of Record. Paddle receives billing details (name, email, payment method) directly; we never see full card numbers.
- Google — only when you choose to sign in with Google. We receive your basic profile (email, name, picture).
Your Rights
You can export or delete your library at any time from your account settings. To delete your account entirely, email us at support@getkove.appand we will permanently remove your data within 30 days.
